Wit & Whistle has been releasing some amazing work lately: I’m head over heels for her recent houseplant portraits, and they’ve got me itching to pick up a paintbrush and illustrate our fiddleleaf fig, Jebediah. Houseplant Portrait No. 2 is the perfect blend of lively green flora and wintery owl motif. The portrait translated into the ideal, slightly cozy (but not too hot) fall outfit you see here.
I was tempted to use bright yellow cords in this outfit to match the buttery background in the painting, but I resisted and went with a more subdued, earthy hue paired with a fun printed top that reflects the owl pot’s feathers. And I definitely need that Kate Spade owl tote–the brand releases one every fall, and this is definitely my favorite so far.
