If you’re a regular reader, you probably remember that I love birds–they’re just kind of weird and adorable, so of course I love them. While I’m not generally a fan of all-gray outfits, going super neutral seemed fine if the inspiration was a quirky selection of bird (chickens, maybe? Or some varieties of pigeon) portraits by Jochen Lempert (for the image shown above, go to slide 30). I love the idea of mixing some feather-y looking gold jewelry into the outfit, to warm things up–and of course two of my general must-haves, knee boots and a military-esque jacket.
