You thought I forgot about wearable design, didn’t you? I haven’t! With New York Fashion Week–the biggest one of the year–right around the corner and the official start of autumn hot on NYFW’s tail, it’s about time I get back to a fashion post here and there. This week’s inspiration: not quite graphic design, but a stunning and graphic textile design. I’ve been on a textiles kick lately, and Austin-based Folk Fibers’ 100% hand-crafted quilts are some of the most inspiring art pieces I’ve seen lately, and the rich and cozy aesthetic is the perfect jumping off point for the ultimate fall outfit.
The translation: it seems like Anthropologie teamed up with Folk Fibers this fall doesn’t it? This moto jacket and satchel are near-perfect matches for the inspiration quilt. Paired with simple white jeans and a chambray button-up, plus a trendy hat and classic-but-jaw-dropping pumps, and you’ve reached the pinnacle of fall style as far as I’m concerned. (On a side note, I picked up that rancher hat yesterday and I’m in love–Josh will tease me, since I was adamantly against hats when we met, but that was years ago. He’s living in the past. Hats are amazing.)
